MONGUN TAIGA BEAR WAY OR A HIGHWAY

URSA

Ursa was born in our kennel on 24 June 2023 — during the magical Midsummer night. Her pedigree combines some of the most successful dogs in the breed on both sides.

Her sire is El Flaum Zahir, affectionately known as the “Danish Rocket.” Zahir’s father is the legendary Multi VBIS, BIS, Multi CH El Flaum Tayler, a dog I have long admired. Ursa’s paternal grandfather is one of my most beloved males in the breed, Chimgi Tura Buranbay, Best of Breed at the 2016 World Dog Show in Moscow. The El Flaum line is a bloodline I truly cherish — producing excellent show dogs with outstanding working results; dogs capable of running the greatest races and shining at the largest shows.

From her maternal side, Ursa is a daughter of our Panda, our most successful show dog and a daughter of the breed icon Multi BIS, Multi CH Svobodnaya Staya Yamal. She is also a granddaughter of Chimgi Tura Bolshaya Panda, full sister to Buranbay. To me, all the Chimgi Tura dogs are legends, embodying the very essence and purpose of the breed.

I am thrilled that my hopes for this combination proved right: Ursa has already achieved many beautiful wins, including a Junior Class victory at the Nordic Sled Dogs Club Show 2024 under an experienced group judge. She is also our best working dog — a true daughter of the “Rocket.” Ursa is our gem, treasured equally for her beauty and her working ability.
