About us

Hello! My name is Neringa. Our kennel is located in Lithuania, in a beautiful place surrounded by magical nature of Neris Regional Park. Here, amid ancient oak forests, river loops, and whispering trails carved by glacial forces, we breed dogs with the raw strength, instinct, and soulful harmony of nature itself.

Our kennel consists from two people: myself and my husband Robertas. Myself I am responsible for all breeding and shows matters and Robertas getting all the fun while working with dogs in harness.

We are small family kennel and we have chosen this path intentionally. We don't have many dogs at home, we don't have many litters so we would be able to provide best possible care to our dogs, puppies and each pack member would receive maximum individual attention and care. This allows us to practice intentional socialization and early environmental exposure: plenty of handling, gentle stimuli, human contact, and exploration in natural surroundings—key to raising confident, adaptable puppies. Growing up in a peaceful home environment—means our puppies develop social skills naturally, learning from adult dogs, people, and daily life.

Our Kennel name came from Mongun Taiga mountains masiff. This sacred landscape—harsh, rugged, glacial, wind-swept—embodies the spirit of survival in extreme nature, deeply rooted in Tuvan nomadic heritage. Mongun Taiga translated from Tuvan means Silver Mountain. And we believe this is the name which perfectly holds everything we want to highlight - For us, Silver Mountain is more than a name—it symbolizes our and our dogs Northern–Asian ancestry, the raw power of nature, and the magical bond between wilderness and devoted breeding.

I was always surrounded by dogs. Our family raised French Bulldogs when I was born—and they hold a special place in our hearts. Yet deep down, my spirit gravitated toward something wilder: nature’s power, ancient strength, elegance entwined with force. That longing led us to Nordic sled dogs—strong, resilient, inspired by Arctic wilderness. In 2016, Akira came into our lives, opening a whole new world: sledding, running, endurance, and partnership powered by primal energy.

Akira wasn't a show dog and eventually we started to look for a show puppy. Luckily, with Akira many amazing people came to our life. One of them was Ingrida, owner of Northerna kennel whom I consider my dear friend and mentor. I always loved her dogs, especially black diamond Avva (JCH After Me Please Velnio Malūnas) and kind of Snow Shon (CH Demidoff Shake The World). One day it happened and Avva with Shon was awaiting for their puppies.

At night of March 8, 2019 Ingrida called me and said "You won't believe! Gray agouti girl was born - just like you dreamed!" And our Alexa (JCH CH Northerna Ash Gray) came from United Kingdom to us and changed our life forever. She is an amazing dog with funniest personality. With big support and help of her breeder she achieved excellent show results including various Champion titles and BIS placements. Alexa was also mother of our first A litter. Even we stopped to breed huskies (but never say never, maybe we will come back one day) Alexa stays on our kennel logo - out of Respect for her Breeder who done so much for me. Out of Respect for Alexa herself who taught me so many lessons.

In the same year, I discovered a breed that sparked a deep fascination— the Yakutian Laika. But I take decisions with care and deliberation. It was a breed scarcely known at the time: few resources, limited information, and no prominent kennels or established bloodlines like those available for huskies, where there are generations of predictability and quality. So resources were really limited.

Driven by a commitment to knowledge and responsible breeding, I immersed myself in every available resource over the years. Since 2016, I have volunteered at the Lithuanian Kennel Club’s Educational Centre, engaging with various educational programs and initiatives aimed at promoting responsible dog ownership and welfare. In 2019, I achieved a significant milestone by passing the exam to become a Ring Steward, a role that has allowed me to gain invaluable experience and insights from esteemed judges worldwide.

While working as Ring Steward I had an honour to work with Honourable Judge Mr. Sergey Zaretsky, who also judged lots in the breed homeland. I asked his opinion, what he thinks about the breed and he said "oh, they are amazing, go for it." And it was like a last confirmation I needed and decision was made - we are getting the puppy.

I always knew if we will get a Yakutian it will be only Yamal's child (Multi BIS Multi JCH/CH Svobodnaya Staya Yamal). The dog I admired, followed for so long, the dog who made a history of the breed, the one who shaped the breed. The one of the type which was exactly that which I wanted to see in the breed. The Legend himself. This is a dog who achieved numerous successes in biggest shows of the country, first in the breed winning Best in Show at CACIB show. I always try to seek perfection so of course our first puppy needed to be sired by the dog I admired most. His lineage embodies the strength, elegance, and natural power I sought in the Yakutian Laika. For me, choosing a sire of his caliber was essential in our pursuit of perfection.

In beginning of year 2021 I have contacted Yamal's breeder and owner Gulnara Zhianshina whom I am forever grateful for changing my life. I wrote her that we are looking for a puppy and asked me to inform when Yamal's puppies will be planned. And probably all the Gods were helping me as she replied - yes we are waiting for two (!) litters sired by him at the moment. So I signed up to waiting list.

Both litters were born and.... unfortunately there was only three girls to choose from. One wasn't promising to shows so two left. There I have decided to choose pedigree, so I have chosen Jenny's (Zhenev'eva) child because old and valuable lines and dogs behind her and started anxiously waiting for a puppy. It was a pure gambling whom I will receive, but I always believe that puppies who are destined for us are coming to our life. This is how our Panda (BBIS PBIS Multi JCH/ CH Svobodnaya Staya Zen Zen) came to our life and changed it forever. Panda is an amazing dog, confident, lively, energetic. At the first moment took the title of Queen of our house. She rocked show rings every moment she stepped into them, winning numerous BIS placements.

We were so fascinated by the breed so I immediately started to dream about baby boy. In data base I found a beautiful female - JCH CH Andkoll Pandora (Skai). And started to dream about her baby... Few days after my birthday I was scrolling facebook and saw that Skai gave birth. Of course I immediately contacted the breeder and reserved the puppy. Back then I couldn't imagine even in my wildest dreams how this puppy will develop and how he will change our life.

This is how Grizzly (Ew'24'25 WW'24'25 PBIS JBIS BIS JCH CH Svobodnaya Staya Peng Mongun Taiga) came to our world. And changed it completely. He is my smiling teddy bear, the sweetest, the best, the most loved by me and by whole world. Together we have achieved that much that I wouldn't even dare to dream. He won BIS numerous times, two times became European Winner and World Winner. He has 37 champion titles and that makes him most titled dog in a breed.

During the years we have bred multiple champions, dogs with remarkable health testing results, working abilities, temperament and of course best friends of their families. And the legend continues....

I am extremely grateful for everyone who stood and standing behind us, mentoring us, sharing their knowledge. Especially my first breeder Ingrida Čepulienė (Northerna Siberians), Shon breeder Oksana Demidova (Demidoff Siberians), breeder of my first yakut Gulnara Zhianshina (Svobodnaya Staya kennel) and of course our Teacher from capital "T" Viktoras Avtuško.

I will be forever grateful for each lesson you gave me.
